FAQs

Before applying to participate at a Meet Market event, make sure you have a legally registered company for either wholesale or retail. We also highly recommend that you come to one of our events as a visitor to see it with your own eyes, check out the stalls, makers and vibe.

Then, head on over to our become a maker page and fill out an event application form, completing out all the necessary fields. Tell us a bit about yourself and include some links to your website or social media, or upload some photos of your work.

Once you have done that, please allow us a few days to get back to you. In the meantime, we'll be having a closer look at your application. The Meet Market has a committee that selects all work coming into the market.

Selection is based upon:

Originality - We love to see work with a unique aesthetic, concept, story, technique, ethos, branding, packaging, audience or web/social media presence... and so do our customers.

Variety - We strive to have a big variety of products from each category at the Meet Market events from all our categories. Please be aware that the more popular categories (jewelry, for example) are more competitive and tend to fill up faster.

Availability - It's really important for us to constantly feature new brands and products. Having said that, it's also important for us to maintain our relationships with our long-term makers. Our venues dictate the number of spaces we have available. Out of the 6-8, each maker can participate in half, in order for new makers to participate continuously.

Once our committee has made a decision, we'll get back to you.

If it's a YES :)
Τhen we'll be in touch to arrange a meeting at our headquarters to introduce ourselves to one another, have a closer looks at some samples of your work, ask each other questions and discuss details about The Meet Market events face to face. We'll also book you for the upcoming event of your choice.

If it's a NO :(
Τhen we will also be in touch to let you know. Unfortunately, we disappoint people by rejecting their work. Please don't take it personally. You'd be surprised how creative Greece is, and there is a lot of competition and limited spaces. Feel free to try again after some time and reapply, if you have something new to show us and you still want to participate.

Depending on the venue, time of year, and length of the Meet Market event, we offer outdoor and/or indoor spaces and our prices range between 120 - 450 euros plus 24% VAT.

SPACES:
Our indoor spaces are 3 x 1,5 square meters. Our outdoor spaces are in 3 x 3 meter tents. You can rent half a tent (3 x 1,5 meters) or a whole tent (3 x 3 meters). Half a tent is considered a single stall and a whole tent is considered a double stall. If you go for half a tent, you can let us know if there is another participating brand you would like to share with or leave it to us to pair you with your ideal tent partner.

COST:
For a classic weekend Meet Market, the cost for a single stall of 3 x 1.5 meters (whether it be indoor or outdoor) is 250 (plus 24% VAT). One day events such as our Sundays for Kids & Families cost 120 (plus 24% VAT). Our Christmas and Jazz Festival events can range from 4 - 7 days in longevity, and cost around 450 (plus 24% VAT).

*Feel free to tell us about other specific needs you may have, such as being near an exit/entrance, if you need a wall, if you need our POS service from the central Meet Market cash register, etc. Prior to each Meet Market, a meeting is held at the venue where you can see your spaces, get inspirations for your set-up and pick up posters & flyers for the upcoming event.

Together with each space the Meet Market provides you chairs, basic lighting, WIFI, electrics, overnight security, advertising and of course, the crowds! Our usual Meet Market weekend event attracts around 10,000-15,000 visitors. We also provide targeted advertising through all our social media channels. This means we will make posts and stories about your brand specifically, spreading the word far & wide.

Each participant is responsible for bringing their own set-up, such as tables, rails, shelves, banners, extra lighting, etc.

For whatever reason, if you can't bring your cash register or a wireless POS machine, don't worry - we've got you covered. Just let us know and we will find you a stall near the central info/cash point of the Meet Market. We will discuss all the details as to how this works during our meeting at our headquarters.
