Hello!
I'm Lila and I live in a bright house in Heraklion with 1 boy, 2 cats and about 57 plants. During the pandemic (about 1 cat and 23 plants ago) I finally had the time I needed to start my own tiny creative business, Thread Jar!
Thread Jar is all about embroidery, capturing contemporary designs, while using traditional materials and techniques.
My basic principles are ethics and ecology and, for this reason, I try to make the right choices on materials and partners throughout the production process.

Thread Jar is all about embroidery, capturing contemporary designs, while using traditional materials and techniques.
My basic principles are ethics and ecology and, for this reason, I try to make the right choices on materials and partners throughout the production process.
In Thread Jar you can find 3 main products:
- Embroidery kits: this is a magical box containing all the materials and (annoyingly detailed) instructions you will need to embroider a particular design! It's even for you -yes, you- that you have never even picked up a needle to sew a button before. Great for stress relief and a unique gift idea!
- PDF patterns: our patterns are *digital* files containing a design and suggested stitches and colors to embroider it. They are aimed at people who have experience with embroidery but are having trouble designing something or have run out of ideas for what to embroider. By purchasing a PDF pattern, you are NOT sent a product, but you receive a digital file in your email.
- Ready-made decorative hoops: a collection of embroideries that I have made from time to time and are available for sale. You don't do anything, I do everything and send it to you ready to decorate!
