Pireos 100, Gazi Athens
In fact, we tried to make it even easier for you to remember by coming together on the 11th day of the 11th month this year. So mark your calendars and head on over to our classic homely venue of Technopolis, City of Athens where we will be both inside the Mixanourgeio building and outside in the yard with over 100 vendors -with more than 25 of them being new participants!- selling independently made and locally produced goods covering the whole spectrum of creativity.
This months Meet Market is especially family friendly, so make sure you bring your little friends where they can take their pick from activities to engage in, from face painting & interactive games with Pigolampides, to graffiti and doodling workshops with Imaginary Rooms.
For the first time, the Quilombo team will join us at the Meet Market! 17 different percussions will play simultaneously for an impressive audiovisual spectacle in Brazilian rhythms! In addition, the first experience of the interactive Play4life game in Athens will be at the Meet Market. An interactive hidden treasure game for kids and adults that will be played simultaneously around the world will have as a starting point the Warehouse Building and will continue looking for hidden elements (objects, words, paintings) throughout Athens!
And as always, we will have a roster of rotating DJs throughout the weekend, and plenty of prizes for all to come and win at the central cash register, including our grand prize raffle basket, with over 100 gifts inside from all our participants. Come for a stroll, for a chat, for a mingle, for a drink, for some pre-Christmas shopping, or just for a monthly meet-up at The Meet Market!
Sit back, relax and have a look through our photo and video gallery and get the feeling of what being part of a Meet Market event is all about!

The Quilombo group was born in 2004 when their deep love for Brazil found expression in the music of Samba Batucada in a random but decisive meeting with one of its great teachers, the Indian Ravi Magnifique. Within a few years, Quilombo traveled all over Greece and with them the message of the group around the concept of the creative community to which its name refers and which is still its main ideological core. The Quilombo percussion band consists of a large group of people who play different percussions and give at the same time an explosive musical result in Brazilian rhythms (SambaBatucada and SambaReggae).

Once there were the 7 discs of Gaia. The discs kept the secrets and knowledge that was needed to keep the world in balance. It is said these discs were a gift to humanity and were kept in various corners of the world and that secret words were written on them. The discs with the secret words that are connected to them were kept by the gatekeepers to ensure that forces of nature and those of humanity will be kept in balance. One day the discs were stolen to be brought to Athens to the Parthenon for a reason that remains unknown till today but might be revealed during Play4life. When the discs arrived in Athens two of them broke into pieces and the others were sent to be kept under guard together with the secret words and moved yearly between the Greek islands. One of these discs it said is to be the Phaistos disc and holds the secret of living a passionate life and has and still invites humanity and all life to constantly be In a process of evolution and be in the pursuit of new knowledge. The other discs were believed to be lost forever… until now. In a chest discovered on the Greek island of Skopelos pieces from the broken discs and maps have been found. The maps hold information about the location of where the other broken pieces and the secret words were hidden. It is mentioned that drawings were made of the broken discs and some hints of who might have them….This is where the history ends and the story and play begins…The pieces, words, and drawings are hidden in Athens and other locations. At the beginning of the game, the player would be assigned or choose a storyline to find the missing pieces, words, and drawings. time is limited as the discs are powerful and it is said the unknown forces have been warned and have managed to receive some parts of the information of the maps. They are still missing some information but they already have agents working to finds the missing information and the words and discs. And so here are about to start the search to win it we would work together and the risks are high as we are playing for life, for both our lives, and for all’s life.
The maps are kept locked until 11/11 to avoid the information arriving at the unknown forces in the meantime we need to prepare, as this is our moment of truth….
