This month at the Meet Market, the puppet theater group Ta Panta Fi, presents The Selfish Giant, adapted from the original by Oscar Wild. The play deals with all the faces of egoism, and how it is overcome through friendship & teamwork and finally leads to joy! Follow the selfish giant on his journey as he transform into a man. Through his story, children come in contact with the meaning and the various expressions of selfishness, and are interactively invited to answer dilemmas and questions about self-centered behavior, and learn how friendship and altruism triumph through their choices.
Adaptation, Direction, Construction, Animation: Kiki Maltsaki, Eirini Mastora
Original Music: Fotini Tsaknaki
Photorgraphy: Kostas Kostopoulos

Shortly before the summer comes, Technopolis transforms into a beach that hides secret and fresh stories. What treasures are hidden under the sand and what will happen when we dive into the sea of our imagination?
Water maps lead us to shipwrecks and coral rocks where we meet Asteri, a young starfish who wants to become a star in the sky. Will he do it? Together, we will transform into fish and seaweed, we will play with an octopus ball, and with simple materials, we will make jellyfish. Through theater theater techniques and individual or group activities, we dramatize pieces of history, mimic the creatures of the sea, improvise fish-choreographies, releasing materials, objects, senses and feelings underwater.
The submarine expects all the Pirates of the Abyss to board! Ready?

The well-known German tale “Bremen’s musicians” by brothers Grimm reminds us that you can play music even if you are a … grunting donkey, as long as you want it enough. It’s never too late or too early to find the right friends, and friends to make a band! The donkey meets the dog, the cat and the cock and together they start the journey to Bremen, the journey to the dream. What did they meet on their way? Have they managed to overcome the obstacles that came in their way? Did they make their dream come true?
Once the fairy tale finishes, the game starts. We play with rhythm and musical motifs, recognize and discern sounds, learn the value of pause, play with simple percussion instruments and make a giant group score. In the end, of course, we dance like “party animals” to jazz (and not only) melodies.

The heat is here, so its time to take our doodles to the beach, where the characters we design will go for swims, play water sports and a whole lot more!
Armed with a black marker, paper, scissors and our imagination, we will created and design fantastic characters, manipulate how they move, and develop their unique personalities, inspired by our summer mood.
Imaginary Rooms is a creative studio founded by graphic designer/character artist Nadia Stasinou, and architect/street artists Manolis Iliopoulo. Their goal is to bring “Inspiration to Modern Family” through their workshops, sketches and murals.
